Our agency supports video game publishers and developers, consumer brands, corporate companies and their communication agencies by offering a range of creative marketing services and content.  Our services include: graphic design, event production (trade/booth and other live events), film, animation and innovative digital solutions. Role Summary: Marketing Manager

We are looking for a target driven, self-motivated individual who wants to join a creative, dynamic, growing company to strategically expand our client base and improve our ability to sell additional work to existing customers. This role reports directly to the founder/MD. Key responsibilities include:

  • develop the company’s marketing and sales strategy, plan and targets
  • devise persuasive approaches and pitches that will convince potential clients to buy our services
  • grow and retain existing accounts by presenting and selling new solutions and services
  • develop great relationships with prospects, existing clients and  the TAKEOFF team
  • help make TAKEOFF a great place to work

The role is full time and based in London, although might require travel to client / event locations. It involves working with the founder/MD, marketing, account manager and creative colleagues throughout the lead generation through execution lifecycle. This requires a thorough knowledge of the market, TAKEOFF’s service offerings and the competition.

Role Detail

Marketing

  • Develop marketing and sales strategy, plans and targets; forecast sales performance and actively manage actions to achieve targets
  • Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators
  • Prospect for new business and convert opportunities into new clients
  • Meet potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your network.
  • Research and build relationships with potential clients
  • Identify the decision makers within the client organisations
  • Set up meetings with client decision makers
  • Plan approaches and pitches. Work with team to develop proposals that speak to the client’s needs, concerns, and objectives.
  • Participate in pricing the solution/service
  • Develop strong relationships with supply chain / partners in order to build competitive proposals
  • Handle objections by clarifying, emphasising agreements and working through differences to a positive conclusion. Use a variety of styles to persuade or negotiate appropriately
  • Work closely with marketing/lead generation colleague(s) to develop an execute sales pipeline
  • Work with TAKEOFF colleague(s) to ensure that prerequisites (like prequalification or getting on a vendor list) are fulfilled within a timely manner
  • “Cold call” as appropriate to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities.
  • Submit weekly progress reports and ensure data is accurate.
  • Track and record activity on accounts and help to close deals to meet these targets
  • Ensure that new data is accurately entered and managed within the company’s CRM (Nimble) or other sales management system as directed
  • Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales

Account management (relationships, repeat business / client retention)

  • Develop great relationships with existing clients; understand their future plans and identify where TAKEOFF can help satisfy their needs
  • Present to and consult with mid and senior level management on business trends with a view to developing new services, products, and distribution channels
  • Present new products and services to existing clients
  • Work with the creative team and other internal colleagues to meet customer needs
  • Arrange and participate in internal and external client debriefs. Gather feedback from clients to develop a more effective team that delivers awesome work and develops stronger working relationships. You will be a key part of making our clients love what we do.  

General/ internal / team working

  • Understand the company’s mission, vision, objectives and values to continually enhance the company’s performance
  • Ensure your behaviours represent the company in the best light at all times
  • Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends to the team
  • Own items on and contribute to TAKEOFF’s internal improvement plans
  • Research and understand competition and share learnings with the team so that we can develop/respond as required
  • Present business development training and mentoring to internal staff, as required
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the company’s people and capabilities, forming great relationships with colleagues

Education

Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of relevant experience.
